An image editor that runs in your browser

Photo Editor 7.0 opens straight in a web browser — no install, no account. The everyday jobs (resizing, cropping, compressing, converting) each have their own page above, and heavier work like stacking layers or applying any of the 60-odd filters continues in the editor itself.

The important difference is where the work happens. Most online editors upload your file to a server, process it there, and send the result back. This one does all of it inside the browser, so the picture never crosses the network. That makes it usable for photographs with faces in them, scans of documents, or product shots that are not public yet — files you would think twice about handing to someone else's server. It also means an editor tab that is already open keeps working if your connection drops.

What it can do

  • Basic editing — resize, crop, rotate and flip, trim transparent edges
  • Saving and converting — export to PNG, JPEG or WebP, compress with a live size readout
  • Layers — stack images and control order, opacity and blend mode
  • Adjustments — brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, and 60+ filters
  • Marking — visible text watermarks and invisible watermarks hidden in the pixel data
  • Automation — batch processing to run many files through the same settings

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no payment, and nothing stamped onto your exported images. Open it and use it.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Opening, editing and saving all happen inside the browser. If you want to confirm that rather than take our word for it, open your browser's network tab while you edit — there are no requests carrying your image.
Which formats can I open and save?
Anything your browser can decode will generally open, including JPG, PNG, GIF and WebP. Saving supports PNG, JPEG and WebP, with adjustable quality for the latter two. Animated GIFs load as their first frame only.
Does it work on a phone?
It runs, but a narrow screen makes it awkward to see the layer and tool panels at once, and very large photos can hit a phone's memory limit. Serious editing is better on a desktop.
How large an image can it handle?
There is no fixed cap — the limit is however much memory the browser can use. Ordinary photographs are fine; hundred-megapixel panoramas or documents with dozens of layers will get slow. In that case work at a reduced size and apply the result to the original at the end.
Is my work saved automatically?
Only in the browser, and it is gone when you close the tab. Export anything you want to keep. The flip side of not storing your files on a server is that we cannot recover them for you either.
Can I open Photoshop (PSD) files?
PSD is not supported. Export to PNG from the other application first — note that the layer structure is flattened in the process.
Can I use the results commercially?
This is just a tool; the rights in whatever you make are entirely yours. The licence terms of the source photographs and fonts you use are a separate matter and remain your responsibility to check.
